Born in GA USA, 1991
To be an artist means essentially to be a creator. Existing as a creator myself, unearthing just a hint of Who God is as a Creator makes the rough patches mean more. As I continue to grow as an artist, discovering more of Who God is and who I am in Him is a beautifully healing journey.
It brings me great joy when the viewer finds a piece visually pleasing; however, when the piece goes with the idea that I originally was inspired by, there is nothing else like it. When a piece evokes emotion and starts conversation about a deeper meaning other than “just” beautiful art alone, it is perceived as more than a success in my opinion.
I love sharing my passion of art with others. Teaching is a skill that requires truth and authenticity; therefore, if a teacher is not passionate about what they are teaching, the likelihood of inspiring their students is slim. Through the years my professors and fellow students have given me a new appreciation for art, and helped redefine what art really is. It pleases me to pass on what I’ve been taught.
